Shows as "unknown device" in Serviio console. Is the generic profile better to use or the Roku profile?

Generic transcodes nothing, Roku does some. Here's what I could find for Fire TV media support. I only copied the video portion:

H.263 video/3gp Hardware accelerated up to WVGA (800x480), 30fps, 6 Mbps, Profile 0 Level 70. 3GPP (.3gp) MPEG-4 (.mp4)
H.264 video/avc Up to 1080p, 30 fps, 20 Mbps, High Profile up to Level 4. 3GPP (.3gp) MPEG-4 (.mp4) MPEG-TS (.ts)
MPEG-4 video/mp4v-es Up to 1080p, 30 fps, 20 Mbps, Advanced Simple Profile Level 5. 3GPP (.3gp)

This actually conforms fairly close to the Roku, except the Roku supports the MKV container. Depending on the containers of your media, the Roku profile might be OK. If you have videos in the MKV container, maybe not so well.

Here's the entire list of what the Fire TV supports: https://developer.amazon.com/public/sol ... ifications

By the way, many devices never show anything other than unknown device in the Serviio console. This only means they are not advertising themselves properly per the DLNA standard.

Anyone using VPN for Firestick? I am thinking to buy this VPN deal https://www.purevpn.com/vpn-deal-of-the-decade for better and fast streaming. Anyone can share his/her experience with VPN?
