[Solved] Problems with upgrading to Serviio 1.5 on OS X

I ran the Serviio 1.5 installer and restarted my computer. I'm on a mid-2007 iMac running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and was previously on Serviio 1.4.1.

First problem was that I couldn't run Serviio Console. When I tried to open it, I got the message 'The application "Serviio Console" can't be opened.' After having a bit of a poke around I found I was able to get it going by running the included JavaAppLauncher first. Then I noticed that the library didn't get copied across. Since the upgrade process left the original Serviio application alone I was able to copy over the library (after stopping Serviio).

I've had a bit of a test and I can happily play content from a client and everything looks as it should. So Serviio itself seems to be running fine but I can only run Serviio Console if I run JavaAppLauncher first.

Am I doing something wrong?

After following the other post with the same problem it looks like the cached plist file is the issue. I moved the Serviio-Console.app to another spot and ran it - it opened fine this time. So I've now moved it back under Applications and everything's working properly again.

Thanks!
