But on my laptop (Win7 64bit) I can not see any files as client. I see the server and the directories but no contents....

What client software are you using on the the Win 64bit PC? Windows Media Player is not a DLNA client - you need something like XMBC which can act as a DLNA client. Win64 will detect Serviio as a Media Server, but has no inherent DLNA capabilities to allow you scan the library or play the files.

But then... why? Why not simply use either Serviio Mediabrowser (particularly if the Win64 PC will be accessing the server across the Internet), or share the media files/folder directly with the Win64 PC - you can then run Windows Media Player, XMBC or any other player of choice.

Like he said, WMP is not a DLNA client. It may see the server but doesn't show any of the media. There's nothing that can be done about that.

If you want to use MediaBrowser, you have to have the paid version of Serviio. When you first install Serviio, MediaBrowser is enabled for a test period (14 days I think), but after that you need a license to use the browser. I can even access my media from my work computer (if I wanted to, that is) with the proper settings in my firewall. If the client computer is inside the firewall, then you just open your browser (Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer for example) and enter the URL. See this page for more complete information: http://serviio.org/component/content/ar ... diabrowser
