Sorry, the message got prematurely posted....

What Im asking is that is there a commandline client that can successfully "connect to" the Serviio in a) ? Would DJ mount work ? andif yes how does one specify the mount points for live youtube content ?

Also, on what port does the server start ? So I coud try miniUpnp client ?

Many thanks

Serviio uses port 23424. For connecting to YouTube, see the plug-in sub-forum for guidance there (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3276)

I'm not sure what you mean by a command line connection. Since Serviio is a media streaming platform, virtually all media renderers (TVs, Blu-ray players, other media boxes) are going to have some sort of user interface.

Hooking in on this with a related question:
Running Serviio on a CentOS server installation, I would like to initiate playout of a video on my Panasonic TV, supporting DLNA and UPNP. All this, using the command line from the server (serviio side).
How can I start streaming a video to a client?
