Search a Profile for Zyxel DMA-2500 / DMA-2501

I'm searching for a Profile for an Zyxel DMA-2500 Mediaplayer.

Problem:
When I get the movies over the windows-shares within the zyxel, all types of media-files will be seen and playing good without a dlna-server. But there is an buck in the player-firmware: the zyxel-player shows all the shares included the hidden shares - this is not good!

Now I find the serviio media-streamer and it looks good. My second hardware-player (LG Blu-ray Drive) run fine with the serviio media-streamer. Only the shares in serviio-konsole are seeing. That's O.K.

But:
The Zyxel DMA-2500 (my first hardware-player) and serviio media-streamer are not running fine! From Zyxel I see the serviio, see the folders, open the specify folder and see only mpg and mpeg-files. All mkv, avi, vob, wmv, ts, etc. files are not visible.

What can I do? Can anyone help me please?

sorry for my bad english

Try the DirectTV profile or the Vizio TV profile. These transcode most common file types.

Many thanks DENYALL for the Tip. I had testet all the implementet profiles. The "Sony BDP-SX70...US" plays the most filetypes on Zyxel DMA-2500/2501, but nothing mkv-files. The Zyxel Player plays the mkv-files regulary hard-decoded. But with the serviio mediaplayer I cannot see these files in the folder. The "Sony BDP-SX70...US" shows me all other, but not mkv.

I'm not shure, how the DLNA certificate works. Is there an mistake in the certificate? Must the certificate gives the information to serviio, which files are playable hard-coded?

OK, we should be able to put something together based on the "Sony BDP-Sx70/SMP-N100 (2010) - US" profile. You've picked one of the more complex ones though.

B4 doing so, the "Sony BDP-Sx70/SMP-N100 (2010) - US profile" is the same as the "Sony BDP-Sx70/SMP-N100 (2010)" except for how it treats MKV's and AVI's, Can you confirm that, if you use the "Sony BDP-Sx70/SMP-N100 (2010)" then AVI's dont work (and also test you MKV again). Do MKV's work if you use the Generic DLNA Profile?

Now I had all formats tested You wishes. Exactly, "Sony BDP-Sx70/SMP-N100 (2010) - US profile" and "Sony BDP-Sx70/SMP-N100 (2010)" gives the same result. In both profiles the AVI's and MKV's are not visible in folders... than I can't select to work. The Generic DLNA Profile does not work for AVI, MKV, MOV, MP4, ASF and also no one audio-file. When I look through the serviio mediabrowser all files are visible. Sorry, I'm not understand this functionality. May I remind You, the Zyxel DMA-2500 can play all files by hard decoded.

Many thanks for You help and excuse me for the bad english. It's only school-english from over 45 years ago.

Sorry Terminator but I'm confused - here you say that you cannot see (or play) any AVI's or MKV's but earlier you stated that the US profile did allow you to play most file types (except MKV). Can you clarify?
the Zyxel DMA-2500 can play all files by hard decoded.
If that was the case then they should play using the Generic profile?? Have you tried another Media Server (eg. Windows Media Player with streaming turned on).

Sorry, sorry. I had testet too many Profiles. Now, I had deinstallation serviio, clean the registry and user-folders and make a new installation of serviio. Ad once only testet the GENERIC and the SONY BDP Profile. GENERIC Profile can play minimal files e.g. only mpg (and I see only these files thruth the Zyxel DMA on Serviio Mediaserver). The SONY BDP Profile show me a liitle bit more of filetypes and there are playable, but not mkv and avi (over the Zyxel DMA to the Serviio Mediaserver). On the Serviio Mediabrowser on the PC I can see all files of all mediatypes.

Youe another question: There is no another mediaserver installed or running.

With the standalone LG Blu-ray Player it can show and play all filetypes over serviio. I think, there is a problem with the Zyxel dlna certificate or the serviio-profile for it.
