Hi,

I have recently installed serviio 1.4. #i have added a couple of test videos to the library. I can see these files when using mediabrowser or the serviio android app, but I can't see these files using Windows Media Player (it lists it as a source, but doesn't show any files.)

Is there anything I'm missing?

Thanks,

Phil

Windows Media Player is not a DLNA client, so will not "talk" to Serviio.
You need to use a DLNA client on your PC - VLC or XMBC seem to be commonly used (although I always wonder, why... wouldn't you just share the media locations with these other PC's, rather than use DLNA?). I've used VLC (slow), but it was purely as an academic exercise.
