Onkyo FLAC "Cannot Play"
Hi,
I have an Onkyo TX-NR717 and Serviio 1.3 running on a Windows Server 2012 machine. The Onkyo is running the latest firmware (13 June 2013).
I have the following issue:
When starting playback of a FLAC file (normally I'll select the first song in an album), the Onkyo will think about it, after 5-6 seconds will say Cannot Play and then start playing the next song. If I then skip back to the previous song it'll play it fine.
In addition, and this happens rarely, in the middle of playing back a song it'll say Cannot Play and start skipping songs one after the other with the same message.
What I did to try and resolve this issue:
Increasing playback buffer on Serviio to 20MB. Did not make a difference. Tried upping to 50MB and the Onkyo wouldn't connect to the server so reverted back to 20.
I increased the buffer to try to resolve another issue where playback would stop and resume after a few seconds in the middle of a song (this issue seems to be resolved), I simply can't think of anything else I can do for the main issue.
Other than this issue FLAC playback is good, I can play back even high resolution files all the way up to 192/24 (which btw sound amazing...)
I have tried writing to Onkyo but it appears to be a total waste of time.
Can anyone suggest what else I can do to try and resolve this?
Thanks in advance.
