The main criterion for choosing between these TV - video on DLNA

As we all know Sony supports a limited number of video formats and video transcoding to
Samsung, unlike Sony supports almost all modern video formats
Will there be a loss of quality when transcoding video if I buy a Sony?
Or that to achieve maximum quality and minimize the transcoding process is better to buy a Samsung?
I want to get the best image quality when viewing videos.

flip a coin as sony Vs samsung there is no real difference.

but as a samsung man imma have to say go samsung ( but get the highest model you possiblely can )

Do I understand correctly that if I watch MKV, which need to transcode to Sony because it can not reproduce it and the loss in image quality will not be.
Because Samsung is able to reproduce MKV for DLNA, respectively do not need to transcode the file

see that a misconception, quality loss is extremely small so not really worth worring about, (pc running serviio has to work harder but thats it) and samsung dont support ALL mkv file some high def MKV file still need to be transcoded/remuxed.
