Is there a way to set the ouput size on Serviio ?

This question cames cause when i play a mkv file (1920x1080 AR 16:9) on my TV, the "original size" do not get full screen, i have to change to ZOOM1 to get full screen.
So i was wondering if this is changeable in ffmpeg output options or it is based on the video resolution.. or it is based on the TV profile.

If someone can clarify this.

nope there is no way to change this currently, file is served in aspect it encoded in and then it up to tv to display it in what ever aspect you have you tv set to (zoom1, zoom2, original)

But can you explain why it isn't possible ? Is this a limitation of ffmpeg ? Cause my understanding is that i could get 1920x1080 full screened no matter the screen size (37' / 42' etc), right ?

cause changing of aspect ratio cant be done with serviio, the feature is not there. :roll:

I dont want to change de AR, it's already in 16:9 and that is what i want.

When i play in "original" mode it looks something like this:

And after the ZOOM1:

What i'm asking is if it's possible to get the original stream to be like ZOOM1.

no that 14:8 with black bar to make it 16:9 not true 16:9. :roll:

So what you'r saying is that this mkv file:
- Stream #0:0(eng): Video: h264 (High), yuv420p, 1920x1080, SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9, 23.98 fps, 48 tbr, 1k tbn, 47.95 tbc

Is being streamed @ 14:8 and when i change to zoom1 it gets 16:9 ?!

Can you supply information on the video (see signature). If the video is being transcoded can you enable detailed logging (see signature) watch the file and in the log should be the ffmpeg command used to transcode it.

Run the ffmpeg command from a command prompt and then supply the video information on the transcoded file.

You can even put the transcoded video in the video folder that you have setup for serviio and it should be detected and see how it looks when streamed.

no the original source file that was used to make that file ( looks like its recorder form a tv ) was originaly 14:8 but when the ripper made the file he added to black bars to the source to make it 16:9 so that it does look stretched on newer tvs.
