Ustream Plugin for Synology NAS

Looking for someone to make the Ustream plugin work with Synology NAS.

I messaged the developer but since they don't seem to be around anymore I was hoping someone else could pick this up?
What I know so far:
While using a Synology NAs and entering Ustrealm URLs while using this plugin do not appear. This does not appear to be an issue with serviio but rather the plugin.
If I use http://piscui.webear.net/ustream.php to convert the URL and then enter that it works flawlessly.

I have tested this on my computer and the stream shows up as it should... so this is something limited to the Synology NAS.
