Re: Demand 5 (Channel 5 UK)
It maybe possible now, Nibor who provided the orignal source for zip's Serviio 4OD plugin(as stated in the 4OD.groovy) has also recently made one for Demand 5
Again its originally designed for XBMC python plugins but can be ported to Serviio groovy plugins
Can be found here on nebor's new repo:
http://code.google.com/p/nibor-xbmc-repo/downloads/list

Re: Demand 5 (Channel 5 UK)
The programmes are huge now!
All listed here - http://www.channel5.com/shows
Think this will be a web resource plugin like 4OD
All the programmed have a set format of URLs - http://www.channel5.com/shows/PROGRAM NAME
Examples:
http://www.channel5.com/shows/cowboy-builders
http://www.channel5.com/shows/fifth-gear

Re: Demand 5 (Channel 5 UK)
Ive managed to play an Episode from Demand 5 successfully!
My plugin skills are non-existent at the moment but handy snooping urls that work for Serviio
With all my evidence im hoping zip or someone can help to get this going!!
My fave show is Cowboy Builders (im not talking bout the devs at ps3ms
)
The show is found here - http://www.channel5.com/shows/cowboy-builders
But i think for a better Web Resource, this link should be used - http://www.channel5.com/shows/cowboy-builders/episodes
All Demand 5 programmes seems to use the same url format
After the looooong boring advert ive snooped this URL
Ive removed all the "amp;" and used their swf player they are using into:Try to put this stream into Serviio, all working good!
Now for the plugin, zip mentioned he used Nibor XBMC source for his amazing 4oD plugin, Nibor has also made one for Demand 5 here
http://code.google.com/p/nibor-xbmc-repo/downloads/list
Full source here
Hoping someone can also use this as a source to make an amazing Demand 5 plugin

Re: Demand 5 (Channel 5 UK)
Any news on this, would love to watch some gadget show.
Re: Demand 5 (Channel 5 UK)
Yeah Channel 5 does have some quality programmes... apart from Big Brother!
Until theres a native Serviio plugin. If you really want to watch Demand 5 using Serviio streamed to your telly quickly, you can use my XBMC to Serviio trick
Just install the working Demand5 plugin from here
Soon as you play the content on XBMC, press stop, copy the URL from xbmc.log and on Serviio use media source as LiveStream even though the video is not live.

Would be really great if someone could develop the official plugin - only one missing now for core UK channels.
Thanks ...

Re: Demand 5 (Channel 5 UK)
A lot of Demand 5 programmes are available on the official Demand 5 YouTube channel
But to watch these using Serviio, you must login into your YouTube account which the current plugin does not support.
