Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

I don't know if this is done in the plugin or by serviio itself.

I would like to see only those streamers who are online when i've done the 'force refresh' option on all entries in my list.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Whenever i try to watch streams on my ps3 at the moment, the stream freezes (video and audio) after 5-30 seconds on any quality. I tried multiple streams to no avail.

I use Serviio 1.4 and the latest twitch plugin.

I don't know exactly how the log works, but i think i changed it to DEBUG mode;

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Hey guys, hi jules

Since I used the new release of serviio on 1.4 I recognized some performance issues during streaming sc2 games via twitch. I´m not sure if it is a problem with the server or some changes regarding twitch.

I have also the problem, that my saved streams aren´t showing on my TV screen via WDLIVE after reboot my pc...any ideas to get the best setting for performance issues and have someone a clue what´s going up with these things?

many thanks, Sven

and by "see", you mean show or hide the folders in which the actual streams (qualities) reside? i don't think that's possible to control from the plugins, so more of a task for serviio.

that's sadly a useless log. you may want to try post a detailed log.
but judging from your description, it seems like whatever is happening occurs when things are out of the plugin's hands. sometimes, twitch servers are overloaded and congested and serviio's ffmpeg won't try to hang on to a stream that hangs; thus disconnecting. maybe there's a way of tweaking timeouts from serviio's side, but not in the plugin.

you could look at whether your profile(s) in serviio are still set correctly for all of the involved IPs, whether transcoding is enabled in serviio and whether it is active (high cpu load in ffmpeg.exe). then there's also the problem that twitch servers aren't super reliable most of the time (and especially on weekends), see the previous answer in this post.

it takes a few minutes after serviio starts up before it has grabbed the streams; and they need to be refreshed every once in a while (in the order of minutes) before you can watch them.

not necessarily a stupid question, but still no. not yet anyway. if you have a well thought-out way of how this would look, i'll consider implementing it.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Hi Jules. I want to say thanks for making this and dedicating the time.

I looked into this to be able to have an option to stream Twitch on my PS3. I have been trying to test this on my computer first and finally got the links to show in the mediabrowser. When I click on a twitch stream, the circle sits there spinning and nothing loads. I have checked to make sure they are live when testing.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Can the stream be transcoded for a specific device, like a ps3? The stream video stops while the audio keeps playing which makes me think it's a video decoding problem from the ps3.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

sure, you'd likely have to change serviio's profiles file to accomplish that.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Hey guys. I get empty folders when I attempt to stream twitch.tv.

Here's my log: http://pastebin.com/Rh1hvVpN

Already tried: replacing ffmpeg.exe with newest version, force refresh, multiple restarts, reinstalling a couple of times, allowed java on private network. Also tried to add change http://www.twitch.tv/ccp to http://www.twitch.tv/ccp/popout -- neither worked.

Any suggestions?

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

thanks for the log, but it doesn't seem to be doing any parsing, please create a new one by starting serviio and waiting like, let's say three minutes afterwards before copying out stuff. search for "ffmpeg" and you should find lines like this:
  Code:
2014-01-24 12:30:30,533 DEBUG [ProcessExecutor] Starting C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\\..\lib/ffmpeg.exe -analyzeduration 10000000 -i

these aren't in your log and usually occur once the plugin has extracted an ffmpeg uri (which still may be wrong). if there's still nothing in the log after three minutes, let it run 5 minutes and then do a force refresh from the context menu in serviio console.

I tried again -- not sure if this is what you wanted, but it's all I managed to produce.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

yeah, unfortunately that's not very useful either. did you follow the steps in the first post, and do you have serviio set up properly with profiles and everything?

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

I just installed serviio, copied the plugin and added the web resources. Do I need special profiles for the PS3? I thought it automatically detected them.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

in the serviio console, status tab, you'll have to set the ip address your dlna renderer (PS3 in your case if i see this correctly) to "playstation 3". then see if it displays something. but the log should still display analysis lines for streams that are online.

Eh, screw it. It's not easy enough, I wasted more hours trying to set this up than I did watching the stream already. Thanks though.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Hi,

first off I would like to thank you for this awesome plugin, which I've been using for almost half a year.

Unfortunately I've been having problems since I upgraded to 1.4.1. On the previous version it was running very smooth, but now the streams suddenly cut off after 2-3 mins of streaming or/and they become extremely laggy and choppy. Sometimes the source resolution stream works fine for a few minutes and then stops and refuses to play again without a serviio restart. I haven't changed anything in my setup and the problems occured immediately after the serviio upgrade.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

I think I may be observing something similar. I recently installed Serviio on a Windows computer. The configuration is (internet) --> (router/lan) --> (serviio) --> (router/wifi) --> (tv). When I watch a 720p stream through serviio on my TV, it lags significantly, every second, and is unwatchable. But when I display the same stream without serviio, through HDMI from my laptop computer, there are no lags at all, even though the laptop still has the old 802.11g wifi.

I haven't had time to look a the detailed logs or try it in VLC yet.
