Synology DS112 problems

Hi

Sorry if these are noob questions but I'm stuck in a 'trap'. I have searched the forum with various search strings but to no avail.

I've installed java ok, I've installed serviio ok on my DS112. I've also just installed the Windows package and selected only console as instructed in the guide on pcloadletter - I struggled for a while with the login password from localaddress:23424/mediabrowser until I saw the 'install console' instruction but that now gives 'Cannot connect to Serviio server, it does not seem to be running. Exiting...'

Well I assumed it was running as WMP (not my preferred player but good enough for testing) saw it but, of course, reports 'No files have been found...'. That still reports the same.

So what do I do next?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Did you set the Serviio Console application up on your computer to connect to the IP address of your NAS (this is explained on the pcloadletter article). It won't auto detect it - you do need to specify the address in the config file on the computer.

Hi

Yes, mea culpa.

Upon rereading I seem to have seen the line 'for Mac OS' and skipped straight to the next bullet.

Am in the console now.

Thanks.
