Serviio in Synology DS213air

Hi Guys, I just got a Synology DS213air and installed serviio.

My PS3 detects the serviio Media server fine with the folders, but obviously they're empty.

I tried to access the media browser but I don't have the password to access it and I read you need to change it in the console, but I also read that you don't have access to the media browser with the free version, which is the one I have.

So my question is, where do I tell serviio to look in other folders for music, videos, etc? Do I need to install serviio on the PC and control it from there? I was hoping I could do this from the NAS.

Thanks a lot

Sorry for the late reply, I hadn't noticed your post. You do indeed need to install the Serviio Console on another computer and use that to set up and configure Serviio running on the NAS. It's explained on the instructions page:
http://pcloadletter.co.uk/2012/01/25/se ... o-package/

It is possible to install a web version of the Serviio Console, but in practice they can be slow to catch up with new versions of Serviio, and they can be buggy (they're made by third parties) - which is why I didn't include one in the Synology package. Once Serviio is configured, you generally don't need the console much, so it's not much of an inconvenience to use another computer to manage it.
