Files not found - Serviio on Synology NAS

Hi all

I'm hoping someone might be able to help. I've spent 2 days trying to work this out, read other forum topics, but so far to no avail. Apologies if this is a newbee question.

I've successfully set up Serviio 1.1 on my Synology NAS (212j) and followed the steps for linking the paths to stored media on my NAS via the serviio console. The serviio log shows that it is finding my media on the NAS. I believe I have set up the correct "user" accounts (i.e. identical) on both the NAS and my PC.

My renderers (sony bravia 2009 tv and a win7 sony vaio) can both see the Serviio Diskstation server, however, no files (music/photo/video) show up on either device - all I get is empty libraries.

Can anyone help with some suggestions? I'd be really grateful as I've spent the last couple of days trying to figure this out. I can post the log if required.

Thanks very much

James

have the files been added? Can you see them in MediaBrowser or VLC?

Hi

I can confirm that I can see all the media when accessed via the mediabrowser, however they are still not appearing on either renderer I am trying, though I can see the serviio server on both renderers (sony bravia 2009 tv and WMP on a Sony Vaio with Win 7). "There are no items to display" message comes up - not even the folder structure is shown.

Thanks

James
