No remote diskstation access using PC serviio console
Here's what I'm trying to do; stream movies from my Diskstation DS110j to my Viera TCP60ST50.
I managed to install serviio and java on the NAS, and have enabled reading privileges for serviio. The TV can see and access serviio, but there are no movies in the library.
Serviio is also installed on my windows 7 PC. I understand that I have to establish remote access so that I can populate my library.
As instructed, I found the ServiioConsole.exe vmoptions file and entered the following:
-Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.1.65
(My NAS obviously uses the IP address 192.168.1.65)
Save the vmoptions file and attempt to add a path to the library.
I enter
/volume1/video
This is where my movies are on the NAS. When I try to save it however, the path is changed to C:\volume\video
This suggests to me that the serviio console is still accessing serviio on my PC and not the NAS. It seems like I don't have remote access to servio on the NAS. The console will not restart for me either unless I delete the entry in the vmoptions file.
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
