Playback works on PC, doesn't work on NAS. How to diagnose?
I first tried serviio on a Mac and it works fine. I use a Samsung UE40ES7000QXZT Smart TV as a client device. I'm able to watch content that the TV is unable to playback directly.
I then succesfully installed serviio on a DS212j and I'm able to browse content on the TV. However, I notice that the files that worked well if served from the Mac, if served from the NAS aren't recognized at all (file format not supported).
I understand that NAS could not have the speed to transcode the streams live, but I'm not sure this is the issue as when I checked CPU usage on the Mac it was very low.
Is there any tool to check what transcoding serviio is doing?
When on the NAS, if a heavy transcode is needed, it is simply ignored?
Thank you.
