I followed all of the steps on this guide
http://pcloadletter.co.uk/2012/01/25/se ... o-package/

I installed java 6 and received a success message. Java is now in my list of installed apps.

It is located here:
/volume1/@appstore/java6

When I go to install serviio, it gives me this error.

"Failed to install the package.

Java is not installed or not properly configured. The Java binary could not be located.
Download and install Java Synology package from http://wp.me/pVshC-z5"

I have tried uninstalling 6 and installing 7 and I have tried restarting after the java install.
Has anyone run into this that might be able to offer tips?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, just got the same nas. I had a few problems.

When I tried to install serviio, I got a message about Java not being installed. It then gave me a message about which java to get.

You need to get the headless java or something (ejre-7u4-fcs-b20-linux-arm-sflt-headless-12_apr_2012.gz)
After enabling Home user, put this in the Volume1/homes/serviio folder (no need to install or anything, plugins go here as well)

looking at File station, I can't see the appstore folder.

With Serviio running looking in the package manager, Java says stopped. If I look at that log, is has volume1/@appstore/java7/jre

Sorry if this is not very clear, but I tried to install serviio several times.
