Will we see in future Serviio installation package for Synology NAS systems?

We have here some special persons like "kittmaster" & "patters".
Now are past some years since no package for Synology NAS. Everyone is busy and it was very time consuming to make installer.
Is it possible to do it now faster with AI help maybe?

I just don't want to use docker version and prefer to have normal NAS installer.

It isn't the time consumption to build, it is the security architecture that change how it installs and it's methods based on the user permissions.

Factor in that patters had hardware transcoding, trying to merge that all together back then with limited information from a linux point of view, not so easy. That is why I jumped to Kodi and started skinning for my own expansion of capability and GUI interface controls.

What I don't like about the SPK is there is no source compilation and it is "install blind" as manual.

I'll see where I was (had a basic framework) and see if a 2.5 is possible with a proper installer, but will have to see what's what as I'm still on v6 of synology and virtual machined v7, might be possible to finally build something that will work.

I promised I'd look at this long ago, things just fell apart, but if it's worth anything, I've followed through and here is the release.

https://github.com/kittmaster/Serviio

Everything is documented and as complete as I can make it.

There are a few things to go, but the intent now is to see if you can install on v7 and see how it goes, what works, what's broken, or any other issue which I can resolve.

If this works out, I'll be updating my NAS to v7 permanently and not look back on v6 (which I'm still on).

So give it a go, the .spk is in the release pages and this is where all updates will come from.

Not sure how to have Serviio replace the downloads page link, but if anyone has suggestions, let me know so I can start that process assuming this works for all.

Regards,
