I congratulate the development team on the upgrade of the main Serviio program to version 1.8.

I am asking when will the update of the Synology version be updated from version 1.6.1?

I use Serviio Pro almost every day through my Synology NAS and I have the Serviio mobile apps.
These mobile apps are requesting me to update to the latest version.
I don't want to have a server & client version mismatch.

Please it would be nice to known when a update could be expected.

You know that the Synology version of Serviio is created by a third party and not the actual developer, right ?

Running actual version 1.6.1 PRO (Patters version) on my Synology NAS, is it possible to update to v 1.8?

Patters will hopefully release it soon.

I contacted Synology for an official package development but haven't heard from them. They don't look that interested to get apps on their platform, it would seem.

Thanks for your response. I`m afraid that Patters allready gave up, because of Synology`s lack of interest...

It's nearly done guys. A little more testing, but I've compiled all the binaries. Once I release I'll try to get an Intel build with QSV support done also.

First I did't know that the Synology version was maintained by a third party.

second -The synology version has been updated to version 1.8. (Thanks Patters)

I am looking at the Genre feature. It looks god so far (action Movies grouped together, Comedies grouped together, etc).
It was confusing to family members who were searching for certain types of movies which were saved in Other folder categories.
