adding folders to serviio library on unraid NAS via remote

I am using remote console on my windows machine to access serviio on my unraid NAS. I am using 1.52 on both. I am using this method as the unraid plugin for this version does not install a webgui on the unraid box. I have attempted to use both local folder and online source options to add folders to the library .
when I browse local folder option the link added is : \\tower\music\music , and when I hit save, the entry looks like this : /\\tower\music\music .
I have tried adding folder as online source as \\tower\music\music.

both options fail to add folders to the library. the log on my unraid server reports that folders not found and all actions suspended until found. actual line from server side log : [RepositoriesStatus] Repository '/tower/music/music' is not currently available. Deferring all operations for later.)
There is nothing wrong with the path - it is correct .
any assistance appreciated.

You have to add it as the server would see it (not as your Windows PC sees it), so the path must be local to the NAS (something like /home/videos or wherever your files are)
