Hello Serviio.

I have previously run Serviio on my DS213J and it ran flawlessly, but now after a update I can't find the server anymore, on my Samsung TV And cannot connect to it through Serviio Console the same goes for ServiiDroid.

I installed everything as it is described on the following page:
http://pcloadletter.co.uk/2012/01/25/se ... o-package/

Just as I did last, but now it just doesn't work for me. Serviio Console came up with the following message: "Serviio Error Can not connect to Serviio server, it does not seem two be running." frist time i ran it. But after I tried to stop Serviio on DS213J, and started it again, now comes Serviio Console not with the message. Now it only starts and runs in the task manager but does not come on?

I hope you can help me - In advance thank you very much for the help!

Try removing and re-installing the Java package, then reboot your syno to be sure. The DSM updates often seem to mess up Java.

Have I tried several times and have also tried the different versions of Java. But it makes no difference unfortunately :(

Now I found out that the ports needed to be opened inside the Synology Firewall, so now I can connect to it through the web server, but can not connect to it through ServiiDroid or Serviio the console.

Are there any other ports that are used when you connect to Serviio through them?

ServiiDroid comes with the following error message: Connected, but not all data can be loaded from "ADDRESS"

What can the error be?

Now ServiiDroid can connect to Serviio, but still can't still not access it through the console. My TV can also connect to Serviio now.

I found out that the ports: TCP 8895 and UDP 1900. Needed to be opened. Now I just need to Serviio Console can be connected.

Now everything works. My problem was that I needed to opened all the ports, which should now be used to Serviio and DLNA service.

I had to open following ports in Synology Firewall:
23423, 23424, 8895, and 1900

After they got opened it all worked.

(The console did not work because I had written IP with port into the config file.)

I hope this solution helps others with the same problem if someone finds this post.

Apparently there's a way of getting Synology packages to register package-specific firewall rules, so I'll need to do some testing so I can include it in a future version.
