Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.1 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Hi
I have the same problem, Qnap 659 Pro + , 6x 2tb WD drives.
I thought it might be cause my Hard drives are sleeping? , cause of the fact that it works after a couple of attempts.
I have 4 Samsung TV's in the house , and it is the same for all.
Could it be that the Database cannot be accessed because the HD's are sleeping?
I have not tried to set the drives to never sleep. Any help , advise would be greatly appreciated.
P.S once it starts , there is no problem at all and it works great.

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.1 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

The QNAP users just made some custom scripts to upgrade to Serviio 1.2.1 and also install a fresh new ffmpeg in your own QNAP systems, works a treat.
Im not good at compiling but the easy to run scripts does the job for you!!

Use at your own risk, myself and others tested it and works a charm!

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.1 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

I compiled FFmpeg for ARM with libshine, libfdk-aac, etc. Have a look. I also included a wrapper in order to use the fixed point libraries instead of the floating point ones.

Thank you for all the hard work. :)

Wait is over, finally manage to figure out the QNAP developer Kit and bundled the latest Serviio
Downloads are in the first post!

Its still using the old ffmpeg which doesnt support subtitles but released this so all QNAPers can enjoy this who have been on edge how to install it
It works fine, tested it over and over but please use it at your own risk as ive only been using the developer kit for over a month

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.3 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

i've trying the 1.3.1 b1 and b2 on my Qnap TS421 Arm without success. First io got a web-UI error, which doesnt allow me to change nothing. After i downloaded the web-UI and replace the files, it should work (no error displayed) but i could't start the server. The log had a lot of errors. I tired with Java 6 and 7. Right now i'm using the version 1.1 b10 with java 6, the only one that i manage to work on my NAS. Anyone got it to work?

[edit]

forgot to say: i always did a clean install. Uninstall the version, delete files and then the new version install

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.3 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

trying (again):
uninstall Serviio 1.1 b10 and JRE 6. Installing JRE 7 + Serviio 1.3.1 rev 2.
Again, the problem "WARNING: Web UI is optimized for Serviio v1.3 but v was found. There may be a loss of functionality. Please consider updating."
still looking how to fix it. But the logs on serviio:

2013-11-09 15:47:55,959 WARN [ServiioStatusService] ExceptionInInitializerError occured. Returning error code 500 to the REST layer. Message: null
2013-11-09 15:47:56,401 INFO [DBSchemaUpdateExecutor] Updating DB schema
2013-11-09 15:47:58,454 WARN [ServiioStatusService] NoClassDefFoundError occured. Returning error code 500 to the REST layer. Message: Could not initialize class org.serviio.config.Configuration
2013-11-09 15:48:33,108 WARN [ServiioStatusService] PersistenceException occured. Returning error code 500 to the REST layer. Message: Cannot retrieve list of OnlineRepositories

[edit]

After i commented the line "$version_req = "1.3";" on file config.php, the errors disappeared and i could start the server.
