serviio at synology RS812+ no content

Hi there!

I installed serviio 1.3.1 pack at my brand new synology RS812+. Installation went good without problem. Servio console client installed and running at Windows8 client. Console client can connect to NAS. Added video folders at NAS to the library.

Problem: No content available, not at DLNA client nor at the serviio media browser. It shows folders but no content. Any idia how to solve this?

Can you connect to the NAS via SSH and run this command:

Was there any further to this? I have just set up serviio on my NAS, with the console on a windows 8 machine.

All appears to be set up correctly, however I cannot see any content - have tried adding music, videos from the NAS as well as content on the PC and tried various RSS feeds to no avail.

I am not overly technical and am not sure how to establish an SSH connection to run the test as suggested above. Any other advice on how to get content to appear would be greatly appreciated.

Which Java did you use? I think someone mentioned that Add Path in the Library tab of Serviio Console doesn't work properly with the Synology Java Manager version, but does work correctly using my Java Embedded package from my package repository. Can you try that?

Hi,

I tried several versions of Java, finalling leaving it at the versions recommended for my setup, then looked at the file path. For some reason when selecting the path it created extra folders that weren't there, so I modified the path to reflect those on my server and it worked. Started loading up the files. Result! :}

Only now, console has stopped working all together! I have posted this new issue on another thread related to the console not running. I'll get there in the end.

Hi, I just installed Serviio last package on my Synology NAS DS211+. No problem during installation. I have defined the path of the video, music and image libraries with Serviio Console. All ok.
Now when I use the Mediabrowser, I can see the path I have configured but their is not content in all my libraries. It's exactly the same when I try to access via my Sony Bravia TV. Servioo Server is visible, but no content is available.
Can you help me to find a solution ?

I have installed serviio on a pc. Installed both server and console. Then stopped the server.
Installed Serviio on synology ds213j
Installed Java manager because I was not able to install java embedded. All three version I cannot install because some error message.
Anyway device recognize serviio media center and can navigate into it but inside the folders there is no content.
Adding picture library was fine but no content at all.
My nas has reading/writing privileges.
Can you kind help me?

EDIT I installed correct vers. 7 of your java embedded. BUt still no content
I cannot ope media browser because can't get the password. It's an evaluation copy
