How to: Serviio on Blackarmor NAS
I'm currently watching my movies (.avi format) that are stored on a Blackarmor NAS through my Sony BDP-S570 wirelessly.
The TV itself (a Sony NX746), also wireless, will not recognise the .avi format my movies are stored as, and I'm guessing the BluRay player does the work.
Yesterday I purchased a new TV for the bedroom, a Sony W60 32. Although (with a dongle or ethernet cord) it does recognise my NAS thorugh the router, it does not play the .avi files either.
Rather than re-formatting my movies, or buying another BluRay player, I'm looking into the Serviio option.
My questions are - will installing Serviio allow my 32 inch to play .avi files?
Do I install Serviio on my PC or NAS or both?
How do I do this?
