Newbie question - just set the player up today - streams Video with no problems at all (brilliant). However if I point the Serviio Library to Image or Audio folders, when I browse to them from the player, I see the folders but then selecting them I just get a message "There is no playable file!" Should I be able to do this ? If so, what am I missing ?

library can take upwards of 24+ hours to completely build for the first time.

Also make sure you're inside Audio/Images category in the Sony menu (not Serviio folder)

Ah that was my newbie mistake - had to move the X-bar off the video category and then drill down - sorted - thanks !

Be peaceful, there are a better Xbar menu integration in the next 0.6 release.

Hi, I was wondering how the BDP-S780 does with pausing and fwd/rwd during video streams? I'm looking to get a model that supports this and according to the DLNA certification, this model supports it.

Best Regards,

It's fine with avi/DivX files, but with MKV files FF/RW doesn't appear to work, though they do play/pause. I used a Netgear EVA 8000 before (which is not DVLA), which did allow FF/RW with MKV files, but then it had problems with codecs on some avi files. Overall, the S780 is an excellent machine, and the BBC iPlayer & Demand 5 really works well.
