Ive got a problem the servio link to my sony kdl-ex720 has stopped working?? - the yellow tag is no longer shown on the tv - the connection is fine since i can use internet video and the windows media player link. ANY IDEAS WHAT IS WRONG??
I use a D-link router connecter by cable to my laptop - the tv is wifi connected to the router.
Im desperate for suggestions
Could it be that serviio doesnt work when i have also shared through windows media player ???

It should work fine. Can you post your serviio.log file and make sure the IP addresses of the TV and computer are correct. Some devices request a new IP address when they start up each time. Also check and make sure the required ports are open on your laptop.

I use Serviio and Windows media player on my KDL-EX501 without problem.
Check your router configuration, fix all devices IP address.
Do you change your firewall or Antivirus configuration, or change your Java installation?
Post logging file.

oh dear i bet you now have java 1.7 and that will not work with serviio, you will need to uninstall it and installl 1.6

please can u post a copy of your serviio log file, so i can confirm these findings please.

Make sure that serviio is connecting to the correct network device on your computer. Also make sure that serviio and the TV are on the same network ie.192.168.2.xxx I did not see any address other than 192.168.2.4 in the log.

Did you make sure the required ports are open?
  Code:
My device doesn't see Serviio

This could be caused by you having multiple IP addresses on the machine and Serviio binding to a wrong one. Insert IP address of the machine running Serviio into 'Bound IP address' field in Network Settings section in the console or pass system variable serviio.boundAddr including the IP address when starting the server.

Also make sure that TCP port 8895 and UDP 1900 are open in your firewall.

If you are on a Linux based OS, make sure you set up multicast routes properly.

If on Windows, you can push Serviio service down in starting order.

Serviio shows my sony tv with its ip address - maybe i should try to re-install.
What is actually the correct way to start up serviio in win vista after installation? because a wizard didnt start as i read somewhere was suppossed to happen ??

Someone also suggested this
"If on Windows, you can push Serviio service down in starting order."
how do i do that ?
