When playing a movie on my LCD TV the image gets distorted (verticaly stretched) if the DAR of the movie is greater than 16:9. In my case the movie has a resolution of 1920x800 (dar=2.4:1) but on my TV it is displayed in 16:9. Is there a way to correct this with a command/function in sony's BD player profile, something like doing a letterbox?

no. is the file transcoded or played natively? If transcoded, it should be fixed in future.

I think the video stream isn't transcoded (it's h264 in mkv), remuxed only in mpegts. I was thinking this could be done since serviio uses ffmpeg and there are command lines that enable the letterbox with ffmpeg (http://perl.goeszen.com/converting-any- ... oxing.html).

I think this will only work when transcoding, not remuxing ;-/
