Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

I have the "UE40ES5505" TV from Samsung.
In AllShare I keep getting disconnected from Serviio with the error
"Device disconnected. Device Name:Serviio (server)"
After that error I have to go to last video played in AllShare that that allows me to play the video, but to get the Serviio server back I have to turn the TV off and ON again, then I can browse some more.

Could Samsung BDP Profile Fix apply to my situation?

Post detailed log.

Make sure your TV has the latest firmware.

I have firmware 1030 on the TV (USB updated) was 1029 before.
Im using Windows 7 64 bit. Firewall off. ping is constant 1ms with a 1400byte packet. The computer is a good I7, I allowed 2 cores to Serviio.

After the playback stops, I can go to recently played videos in AllShare and watch the movie just fine.
This problem seems to be on a timer, if im not fast enough browsing through my files to find something to watch, ill get disconnected in the menu.

I'm having similar problem with my E Series TV, videos stop playing more than 3/4 through. in the
log "2012-11-26 07:17:52,141 DEBUG [WebServer] I/O error: Connection reset" means the TV is closing the connection. Looks like the TV has DLNA problems.

I've got the same exact problem with my PS51E6500. Everything DNLA related was working great on firmware version 1023 (IIRC), but then I decided to upgrade to 1029 and ended up having this issue.
1030 doesn't fix it.

I wonder if it's possible to downgrade TV back to "stable" firmware release...

Have you tried posting a request for the old firmware..i have found their support to be very responsive..you could attempt downgrade from USB.

So I've contacted my local Samsung support and they say they can't help me since they only support AllShare media server - Serviio is the third party software and no complatibility is guaranteed. So I guess I'll have to try to reproduce this issue on AllShare server.

Downgrading via USB is not possible AFAIK - the only way I managed to find is SamyGo downgrading service but it doesn't seem to work with my TV. I'd investigate this futher, but frankly I'm reluctant to taking such risks - last thing I want is to brick my TV with some "untrusted" firmware.

Agree, hardly worth the risk.
Odd though that this happens after a minute or three on Serviio, but on Plex it happens after 20-30 minutes.

Ok, yesterday I set up Samsung's Allshare server on Windows and... it works. I watched entire ~3h movie and everything went fine - no disconnects.

So, it seems that our problem really is the compability issue between Samsung TVs with newest firmware and the third party media servers (including Serviio).

I can confirm this. The stability has improved over 1.0.1, but the problem is still there - I was able to watch first 28 minutes of movie before disconnect. I never made it to 10 minutes on 1.0.1.

So Serviio now uses 30 minutes as the duration of the advertisement SSDP messages. It, however, resends these every few minutes, with a new 30 minutes duration, so the TV should update the original expiry time accordingly. It looks like maybe it's not the case with this new firmware.

Not sure if someone can capture packets from the All Share server to see what the duration of their SSDP alive messages are (serviio uses 1800)

Thanks for your response.

What was the previous duration value (in 1.0.1)?
