Serviio

I'm trying to playback ClearQAM recorded TV. I'm using SageTV with a HDHomeRun to make these recordings. The files play fine, but I can not use the FF, REW, or Time Search.

Anyone out there know a fix for this?

MPEG files on Samsung D series will not seek on DLNA....Major defeciency..see my other posts. This is a Samsung problem, not Serviio.

Any easy way to contact Samsung?

rofl easy and contact samsung, never meet, it is always a battle to contact samsung for support.

I'm having similar problems and had hoped that I might be able to solve it by transcoding (on the fly) to a lower res mpg file. But nothing I've tried works.

It's a major bummer because one of the things I would really like to be able to do is use my HDHomerun, MythTv, Serviio and my Samsung C series TV to "catch up" with a football/basketball/baseball game already in progress (a typical Tivo usage) and I can't quite manage to do it. Any suggestions??? (I'm more than willing to add/change software -- at least if it's open source and can run on a linux (debian) box)

Try remuxing the mpegPS (program stream) to MPEGTS (transport stream).

I thought the HDHR produced TS. In fact, I'm pretty sure one of the "fixes" I'd tried was remuxing from TS to PS. I'll double check tonight when I get home.....

If you find a way please post it. It impacts anything that is transcoded.

I was able to confirm that the HDHomeRun (at least when invoked by MythTV) does produce an MPEGTS file. So that doesn't seem to be the problem. (In fact, if I use MythTV's prepackaged script for removing commercials it has the byproduct of converting the file to PS which actually seems to improve the seeking. Which I why I had previously tried on the fly TS-to-PS remuxing to see if it would solve my problem (and it didn't)).
