Transcoding slow - Preencode all files

I am using Serviio for Ubuntu on a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Machine with GeForce 8600 GT and 1 GiB Ram to Stream videos to my Samsung PS51D550 using the Samsung C/D profile.

Now the transcoding for Full-HD videos is extremely slow (i.e every ~10 secs i have to wait ~10 secs until videos continue).
Therefore i have 2 questions:

-Is there any way to speed up transcoding on this machine or will i have to upgrade hardware if yes what parts should i upgrade?

-Is it possible to decode all my video files in a way that my Samsung D TV can play them from serviio without transcoding? What vcodec/acodec will i have to use?

Thanks

Re: Transcoding slow - Preencode all files

Why are you transcoding them. The D models play AVC (HD Video) natively.
I don't need to transcode anything for my D550

Re: Transcoding slow - Preencode all files

What I meant was I do not need to transcode the video. I still need transcoding on to rewrap to mpeg-ts but that takes little resource. Your profile dictates if the video is transcoded and .mp4 with h264 video will play natively. WMV2 however will not play natively (only WMV3 will) and needs to transcode to mpeg2video. Also make sure you have the console set to transcode with both cores.
