Serviio - free DLNA media server for Windows, Mac and Linux

Media Streaming Server

Version 1.10 Released

We are pleased to announce that version 1.10 is available for download.

This release focuses mainly on small, but useful improvements. The display ratio has been reworked, metadata are now retrieved from the files themselves (for both, audio and video files), there is support for more file formats and also some additional profiles.

A lot of effort went to fixing playback in MediaBrowser on some platforms (like iOS).

As always, thanks go to the testers, translators and guys helping at the forum.

Alexa skill now available in US and UK

It's been a while but the Serviio Alexa skill is finally available in the Alexa skill store.

To use this skill you will need Pro edition (evaluation will not be enough) and have the remote access set up.

Check out the detailed instructions about how to use the skill.

Version 1.9.1 released

We are pleased to announce that version 1.9.1 is available for download.

This is a patch release with mostly bug fixes and optimizations. There are some new features too, mostly related to subtitles support and updated HTML5 player in MediaBrowser.

As always, thanks go to the testers, translators and guys helping at the forum.

Version 1.9.2 released

A new patch release is out. It mostly addresses some playback issues in MediaBrowser on iOS and also fixes a bug causing files not being added to the library after 24 hours of running the server.

Everyone is welcome to upgrade.

Version 1.9 Released

We are pleased to announce that version 1.9 is available for download.

The biggest change in this release is the new HTML5 player in MediaBrowser. It replaces the Flash player and should work well in most modern browsers. You can also name your devices in the console.

Apart from all the other changes we have also made a lot of changes in the background that will enable integrating with other services, like the Alexa skill (stay tuned).

As always, thanks go to the testers, translators and guys helping at the forum.
